This was one of the best Bed and Breakfasts we have stayed at. Beautifully decorated, wonderful facilities, lovely gardens and a delicious breakfast. Kathryn was a fantastic host who couldn’t do enough for us. We’d love to stay here again one day for longer.

We were pleasantly surprised at every turn. The property is beautifully presented and maintained.
Breakfast was great! We were asked about the menu and it delivered. Plenty of food cooked the way we liked. Individualised. Tasty local ingredients, fresh and carefully prepared right at the time we requested!

Our lovely host Kathryn greeted us on arrival, with coffee, home baked shortbread & fire lit as it was very cold outside. The 2 rooms we booked both had a luxury bath which was lovely after a long drive. Kathryn recommended Stonefruit Restaurant in town for dinner and the tapas were delicious. A hearty breakfast was cooked for the 4 of us by Kathryn. I highly recommend a stay at Carpe Diem. We all felt very special indeed and wish we could have stayed longer.

Host met us on arrival with coffee/tea and shortbread – nice touch. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included in price and four good options available. So choice and quality was good. Property was purpose designed for guests and well laid out with good space, easy parking. Pool table room nice touch. Use of fridge, tea, and coffee at all times was good. Bedroom was nice, good furniture, heating good, and electric blankets were a welcome extra. Great information on local area and facilities available in room and at reception area. Very quiet location.

An excellent location to rest & recuperate after a day’s travel & sightseeing. Hosts were amazing even having the place to ourselves. The quietness was exceptional. The outside lighting coming down the driveway into the trees was a wonder like snow.
