Carpe Diem Guesthouse is set on five acres providing four beautifully appointed bedrooms with luxurious queen beds, each with ensuite, panoramic views, and a verandah looking over picturesque manicured gardens. The dining, reading, lounge, and pool room; garden and BBQ, are accessible to all guests.
Afternoon tea is offered to guests on arrival, consisting of homemade scones, coffee and tea so you can settle in and relax after your trip.
Carpe Diem Guesthouse guests will be able to help themselves to tea, coffee and an array of cereals while hot meals are being prepared in the morning.
Hot breakfasts will include a choice of:
- Farmer’s Breakfast – locally sourced bacon and eggs (or homemade baked beans),
- Blueberry Pancakes
- Zucchini Muffins
- Homemade Porridge
(Vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options available)
All meals are prepared using available local and seasonal produce.
Our rooms are all named after well-known Australian writers:
Dorethea Mackellar, Judith Wright, Henry Lawson and Banjo Paterson.
Each of these famous Australian writers has origins in New South Wales, from Sydney to Forbes to Orange and Armidale.

Requests for a late checkout must be organised prior to your checkout date. Charges may apply.
All Guest rooms and indoor common areas are strictly non-smoking.
A $200 cleaning and a deodorising fee applies per room for guests who have smoked indoors.
Should you wish to smoke please do so in the Designated Smoking Area at the front of the Guesthouse.
Please extinguish all lit cigarettes in the ashtrays provided. Do not flick your cigarette butts into the garden as this is a high-risk bushfire danger zone.
As an accommodation provider, our intent is for all guests to enjoy the security, comfort, and facilities offered by Carpe Diem Guesthouse and we kindly ask that noise be kept to a minimum.
